Comme des Garçons introduced its Homme menswear line in 1978, extending the fashion house established by Rei Kawakubo into a study of the men's wardrobe. Familiar clothing categories become a framework for experimenting with fabric, construction and detail. Tailoring, casual pieces and collaborative footwear express different sides of that continuing approach.
