SACAI WOMEN
Chitose Abe founded sacai in Tokyo in 1999. Her approach brings contrasting garments, fabrics and references together within a single design, creating new forms from recognisable wardrobe elements. Tailoring, knitwear and utilitarian clothing become parts of a hybrid language, with movement and the balance between different textures central to the result.
